Donate towards building the house of Allah and gain immense reward, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow's nest for Allah or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."
By the grace of Allah, the Scarborough Islamic Society has been running for the best part of 12 years. As members of the Muslim community and custodians of the masjid it is our responsibility to maintain the infrastructure of the masjid both internally and externally.
We have now reached a point in our journey where the infrastructure and safety of the whole building is under question, hence why an effort is been made to raise money from within the Muslim community to help donate towards this endeavour.
Starting this Ramadan with your Duaa’s and your help we would like to take the first steps towards raising enough capital towards consolidating the infrastructure as well as the future of our masjid, which caters for attendees within a 30 mile radius.
The video above show the scale of the work required, and why it is incumbent that this task be fulfilled as soon as possible. As can be seen, we have significant water ingress and water damage throughout.
